Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us and information we collect automatically when you use our app:

• Personal Information: Name, email address, profile information
• Learning Data: Progress, lesson completions, quiz results, vocabulary learned
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers
• Usage Data: App interactions, features used, session duration
• Audio Data: Voice recordings for AI-powered speech recognition, pronunciation practice, and conversation features. Voice recordings are processed in real-time and are not stored after the session ends
• Conversation Content: Text messages exchanged during AI conversation practice. This content is processed in real-time to generate responses and is not stored or saved to your account after the session ends
• Marketing Attribution Data: Advertising identifiers (IDFV on iOS, Google Advertising ID on Android), install events, in-app events (signup, subscription start, purchase amounts and currency), IP address, device model, operating system, country, and language

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain our English learning services
• Personalize your learning experience and track progress
• Provide AI-powered conversation practice, speech recognition, and text-to-speech through our third-party AI service provider (OpenAI)
• Send you updates about your learning progress and new features
• Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries
• Analyze app usage to improve our services
• Measure the performance of our marketing campaigns and attribute app installs to advertising sources

Third-Party AI Data Processing

Our app uses OpenAI as a data processor to power AI conversation features, including speech recognition, AI-generated responses, translation, and text-to-speech. OpenAI processes data solely on our behalf to provide these features and acts as a data processor, not an independent third party. When you use AI-powered features (AI Practice, Guided Conversations, Shadowing), the following data types are sent to OpenAI for processing:

• Voice recordings: Sent for speech-to-text transcription
• Text messages: Sent to generate AI conversation responses
• Translation text: Sent for translation between English and Arabic
• Text-to-speech text: Sent for audio generation of text content

This data is sent only after you explicitly consent within the app. You can revoke this consent at any time in Settings > Data & Privacy, which will disable AI conversation features. OpenAI processes this data in accordance with their usage policies and does not use any of this data to train their models. We do not share any other personal information with OpenAI beyond what is necessary to provide these features.

Marketing Attribution and Analytics

We use AppsFlyer Ltd. as our marketing attribution provider to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns and understand how users discover the app. AppsFlyer collects the following data on our behalf:

• Advertising identifiers: IDFV on iOS and Google Advertising ID on Android
• AppsFlyer device ID and our internal user ID (for matching installs to accounts)
• IP address, device model, operating system, language, and country
• Install timestamp and the advertising source that referred the install
• In-app event data: signup, subscription start, and purchase events (including amount and currency for revenue measurement)

AppsFlyer may share aggregated and attribution data with the advertising networks where we run campaigns (such as Meta, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, and similar platforms) so we can measure ad performance. We do not sell your personal information. You can opt out of AppsFlyer attribution at any time at https://www.appsflyer.com/optout, or by enabling "Limit Ad Tracking" (iOS) or resetting your advertising ID (Android) in your device settings. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only with the trusted service providers we rely on to operate the app, and only as described below:

• With your explicit consent
• With OpenAI, acting as our data processor, to power conversation, speech recognition, translation, and text-to-speech features (only when you consent to AI data sharing within the app)
• With AppsFlyer Ltd., our marketing attribution provider, to measure ad campaign performance — AppsFlyer may in turn share aggregated attribution data with the ad networks where we run campaigns (Meta, Google, TikTok, and similar)
• To comply with legal obligations or respond to legal requests
• To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property
• With service providers who assist us in operating our app (under strict confidentiality agreements)
• In connection with a business transfer or acquisition

Our app is designed for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete such information.
